This is Rip~ And this is like, the first drawing I've done of him. Ever. >_> And he's been around and about forever and a half. For some reason, he's always been really hard to get onto paper, and this is the only one that worked out~
He also has some scars on his mouth, but I was afraid if I put them on, I'd mess up. So let's pretend they're there. T^T (They are in pencil, at least!) Anyways, yes. Rip. I'm not sure of what to write here, because honestly, there isn't a whole lot known. He doesn't talk about himself, at all, unless it's brought up in question. And even then, he won't talk about it really. He has a really low opinion of himself (literally. ;_; He can't think of any good qualities about himself), and tends to hide in his room most of the time. Rip's an insomniac, because when he sleeps, he gets night terrors, though admitedly, they've lessened. He also smokes a lot. .. Too much. :< Rip's nice, though people are intimidated/feel threatened by him if they haven't met him before. >_> Even people who do know him, actually. o_o Rip is half Incubus, but he really hates that part of his heritage, and does everything in his power to NOT be anything like that. When he gets mad or finds himself in a dangerous situation, he "blacks out". Or he at least doesn't remember what happens, and when that happens..well, bad things go down. >_> Really. And that's about the sum of Rip. o_o I wish I did a better picture of him. >_> The picture was done this way because it matches him in more ways than one, and also, when he dreams apparently this is how it looks. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. How much wood would a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could Chuck Norris?
Saying that you saw him before is a bit presumptuous, considering that there are many people in the world - here, there, and the world between - that look like Rip. There are many dark looking individuals in dark coats with dark hair, dark complexions, and scars (though unseen here), not just the one. I don't see why he would decide to stand over your mother as she slept anyways, considering the detatchment with his heritage that he so very loathes, and a disinterest in older women due to previous, unpleasant experiences with them.
Like I said, honestly, saying that it was him is presumptuous. If there is a way to confirm that it was him, for some unfathomable reason, than please tell me. I'm sorry, but I really don't see how it could have been him, for aforementioned reasons.

He seems so nice. He, or she, maybe - whoever it was - was just watching, but not really with an interest. There was a silence, but maybe it was sadness, from awful memories. Is Rip a malevolent thing?
Oh.. those malevolent things, so torn from memories that they'd scorn their unmemories, the people or things in which they have no connections :c
